Star Cinema and Viva Films has released the official movie poster of Sisterakas starring Kris Aquino, Ai Ai Delas Alas and Vice Ganda, an official entry to the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival. Check out all the official entries to the 2012 MMFF here.

Sisterakas brings together for the first time in the big screen three of the most controversial 'queens' of today–Kris, Ai Ai and Vice Ganda in a power comedy helmed by box office director Wenn V. Deramas. In the movie, the three will play rivals in the apparels industry.

Sisterakas also stars Kathryn Bernardo who will play Ai Ai's daughter and Daniel Padilla, the godson of Vice Ganda in the movie. Xyriel Manabat is also included in the cast as Kathryn's little sister.

'Sisterakas' Full Trailer Released (Starring Vice Ganda, Ai Ai Delas Alas and Kris Aquino)

The full trailer of the MMFF 2012 entry Sisterakas has been released for the first time via morning show Kris TV hosted by one of the film's lead stars Kris Aquino. The upcoming comedy film will bring together Kris, Vice Ganda and Ai Ai Delas Alas altogether.

In Sisterakas, Ai Ai, Vice and Kris will play fierce rivals. Helmed by box office director Wenn Deramas, Sisterakas also stars Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, DJ Durano and Xyriel Manabat. Produced by Star Cinema and Viva Films, the power comedy film will open in cinemas this December 25.

Sisterakas Plot

In the story, Vice portray the role of Bernice, a super successful ‘lord of the apparels industry’ who is determined to bring misery to two of his closest competition–her hardworking half-sister Detty (Ai Ai) whose family refused to help Bernice’s family when they were poor, and Roselle (Kris) the equally brilliant and talented yet eccentric business archnemesis. In her quest to secure her throne as the queen of her industry, although it’s against her will, Bernice will be forced to hire Detty as his 75th assistant. But things get out of hand and the world gets crazier when Detty suddenly becomes an employee–of all people–Roselle! With the rivalry getting tougher and more intense than ever and severely affecting each other’s intertwined lives, who among Bernice, Detty and Roselle will emerge victorious?

Video: Vice Ganda's 'Boyfriend' Makes Surprise Call at GGV

Vice Ganda got a surprise call from his 'boyfriend' on the taping of the November 11 episode of Gandang Gabi Vice (GGV). The said call from Vice's special someone happened weeks after the comedian admitted that he has hit a rough patch in his love life.

Vice, who was interviewing couple Bea Alonzo and Zanjoe Marudo did not expect the call which was first taken by Bea. Vice then set the mic on the phone so that the audience will hear their conversation. Vice did not reveal the identity of his boyfriend, who he refers to as "baby boy." Vice was tickled to the max when the guy called him "baby girl" and told him "I love you."

In his official Twitter account, Vice Ganda said he didn't expect that the show will air the incident.

"Ninenerbyos ako sa GGV ! Di nyo inedit. Waaaaaaahhhhhhh!" Vice tweeted. "Puro Baby Girl at Baby Boy na ang laman ng text at Twitter ko kaloka! GGV," he added.

Some source though claimed that the "surprise caller" was a member of the audience.

Meanwhile, Kiefer Ravena and Jeron Teng were also guests on the said episode and the two UAAP heartthrobs grilled the host involving two FEU basketball players that have been romantically linked to Vice: Terrence Romeo and RR Garcia.

Vice Ganda and Jhong Hilario made a spoof of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo's teleserye A Beautiful Affair with A Not So Beautiful Affair on their It's Showtime 3rd anniversary performance Thursday, October 25.

Aside from that opening video, Vice and Jhong also parodied one of the judges' movie, Maricel Soriano's Soltera. A shirtless Paulo Avelino, Kedebon Colim and comedian Negi also had special participations in the performance.

While the rest of the country experienced black out and typhoon Ofel, Vice and Jhong's It's Showtime 3rd anniversary performance let us experienced a total variety show with singing, drama, comedy and a bit of fantasy and magic.

This Guy's In Love With You Mare is a certified box office hit as it reaches the P200 million mark barely two weeks from its release. Now on its 2nd blockbuster week, the LuiViTon movie is poised to beat the record previously held by The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin.

The good news was broken in The Buzz on Sunday, October 21. Hosts Boy Abunda and Charlene Gonzales-Muhlach congratulated co-host Toni Gonzaga for the success of their film, announcing that This Guy's In Love With You Mare had already grossed P200 million.

Meanwhile, Vice Ganda also posted a congratulatory message to Toni, Luis and himself on Twitter, mentioning their names in the movie.

This Guy's In Love With You Mare Grosses P100 Million in 5 Days, Certified Box Office Hit!

Star Cinema's latest co-production with Viva Films, This Guy's In Love With You Mare starring Vice Ganda, Toni Gonzaga and Luis Manzano had grossed P100 million on its first 5 days of showing.

The news was confirmed by Star Cinema's Ad Prom Head, Roxy Liquigan via Twitter and was also announced by host Boy Abunda in The Buzz, Sunday, October 14. Tito Boy and co-host Charlene Gonzales-Muhlach congratulated Toni Gonzaga for the big success of the movie.

According to Star Cinema, This Guy's In Love With You Mare had an opening gross of P23 million, same figure with that of The Mistress, another certified blockbuster.

This Guy's In Love With You Mare, from its conception was poised to be a big box office hit as it brings together three of the biggest movie stars in the country —Toni, Vice and Luis plus the box office director, Wenn Deramas.

The tandem of Vice and Direk Wenn held the record for the highest grossing Pinoy film of all time with 2011's blockbuster The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin. 

It is expected that the movie will breach the P200 million mark as it approaches its second week in cinemas.

Kantar Media (October 6-7) TV Ratings: The X Factor Philippines Beats Rated K

The X Factor Philippines Finale (results night) beat perennial number 1 on Sunday primetime Rated K to clinch the top spot last October 7. The whole Philippines saw the crowning of the grand winner, KZ Tandingan who took home a P4 million prize package.

Meanwhile, Saturday viewing was again topped by Xyriel Manabat's Wansapanataym followed by Kapamilya Deal Or No Deal with Vice Ganda as guest. The MMK episode of Dimples Romana and Zanjoe Marudo came in third.

Star Cinema’s wild comedy movie event of the year, “This Guy’s In Love With You, Mare” will hit theaters nationwide this Wednesday (October 10). Under the direction of box-office director Wenn V. Deramas, “This Guy’s In Love With You, Mare” is topbilled by the comedy box-office trio of Philippine cinema–box-office queen Toni Gonzaga, box-office Comedy leading man Luis Manzano, and box-office phenomenon Vice Ganda.

According to Luis, their film tackles a simple yet complicated theme that will surely delight the moviegoers. “Yung character ko dito na si Mike, nagkataon na involved in colourful relationships. Minahal niya si Lester (Vice) at nagkataong nahulog din ang loob niya kay Gemma (Toni),” said Luis. “Our movie is about love, truthfulness, and different kinds of relationships.”

Toni, meanwhile, feels proud with her first team-up with Luis, Vice, and Direk Wenn. “Pinapangako po namin sa inyo na this is worth every centavo of your money. Bibigyan namin kayo ng isa’t kalahating oras ng kasiyahan na makakalimutan niyo pansamantala ang lahat ng mga problema niyo,” she said.

Despite being a comedy flick, Vice assured that “This Guy’s In Love With You, Mare” will share life lessons to moviegoers. He explained, “Itong pelikula namin todo talaga sa patawa, todong laugh trip, at todong good vibes. Pero eventually meron itong mai-impart na importanteng lesson sa audience.”

Aside from Toni, Luis, and Vice, also part of “This Guy’s In Love With You, Mare” are Edgar Mortiz, Buboy Garovillo, Gladys Reyes, DJ Durano, Karla Estrada, Carla Martinez and Ms. Tessie Tomas. Kris Aquino Backs Out of 'Sisteraka' (Filmfest Entry with Vice Ganda)

Queen of All Media Kris Aquino has backed out in doing the movie Sisteraka with Vice Ganda. The said movie is one of Star Cinema's official entry to the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival. Sisteraka will also star two of the hottest teens today, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.

This week, a rumor spread like wildfire saying that Kris Aquino will not be part of Sisteraka anymore and on September 23, Kris confirmed the rumors via Twitter. In a series of tweets, Kris cleared the reason why she's begging out of the movie.

I didn't want to talk about work this weekend. But YES it's true I backed out of the MMFF movie w/ Vice Ganda. If u remember I lost my voice the other week & I realized I can't possibly work 7 days a wk & not have all my projects suffer. In the past my talk show was always the 1 that suffered because of my "acting" dreams. More than anything else, I am a talkshow host & I can't be effective w/ no voice. Our teleserye Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw has a story so close to my heart, about a family, about sisters, & what toll cancer takes not just for the victim but for all those she loves. I made difficult choices but I have peace in my heart. Growing up means accepting I'm not superwoman, and realizing just how blessed I am to have what's here & now.

According to reports, comedy queen Ai Ai Delas Alas will replace Kris in Sisteraka. It can be recalled that Ai Ai said earlier that she will not be joining this year's film fest out of respect for Bossing Vic whom she had worked with in the past MMFF top grosser Enteng Ng Ina Mo. However, things might be different now as she was offered to do the role and according to her 'masama raw tumanggi sa grasya.'

One good thing is that Ai Ai and co-star Vice Ganda (who reportedly had a rift in the past) had already patch things up so their working relationship in the movie will be smooth now.

This Guy's In Love With You Mare Full Trailer Released!

Star Cinema has just released the full trailer for This Guy's In Love With You Mare starring Toni Gonzaga, Luis Manzano and the unkabogable Vice Ganda.

The said movie is a follow up to the box office tandem of Vice  Ganda and director Wenn V. Deramas. From Star Cinema and Viva Films, This Guy's In Love With You Mare tells a complicated love story of a Pare, a Mare and a Marce.

This Guy's In Love With You Mare Full Trailer Premieres on GGV this Sunday

The most-awaited comedy movie of the year, This Guy's In Love With You Mare will finally hit theaters this October. Starring Vice Ganda, Toni Gonzaga and Luis Manzano, the movie, produced under Star Cinema, will surely be another box office hit.

In This Guy's In Love With You Mare, Vice Ganda will play the role of Toni Gonzaga's suitor and one situation will require Toni and Vice to have a kissing scene, the first onscreen kiss of Vice.

"Lalaki siya sa pelikulang ito kaya nakakatawa, pero lalaking-lalaki siya, convincing ah," Toni told reporters in an interview, who also asked about their kissing scene in the movie.

"Pinakamalalang nagawa ko sa buong buhay ko, na magka-eksena kami ni Vice na hindi ko alam kung paano namin nagawa! First time ko ma-experience 'yung ganung klaseng kissing scene, kakaiba, hindi ko mai-describe. Nakakabaliktad ng sikmura," Toni said, laughing.

Vice and Luis Manzano will also have a bed scene in the movie. In July, the photo of Vice and Luis seen on a bed together spread online. The said 'love scene' photo was also featured on GGV with Luis' mom, Gov. Vilma Santos, as guest.

Also starring IC Mendoza, DJ Durano, Ricci Chan, Lassie Marquez, Ricky Rivero and Gladys Reyes and directed by Wenn Deramas, This Guy's In Love With You Mare  is Vice Ganda's follow up to the 2011 comedy film The Ukabogable Praybeyt Benjamin, hailed as the highest-grossing local film of all time.

This Guy's In Love With You Mare full trailer will have its world premiere this Sunday, September 23 on Gandang Gabi Vice. The said trailer though was already seen by moviegoers who got to watch The Mistress.

Vice Ganda Says No to Teleseryes

Ace comedian Vice Ganda admitted that he can't do a teleserye as of now. Vice told ABS-CBN news during the pictorial of his latest movie that doing a teleserye will consume most of his time.

"Hindi ko kaya ang teleserye. Hindi ko kaya 'yung talagang aktingan sa TV at 'yung mahabang aktingan. At saka mayroon akong noontime (show), hindi ko kakayanin na nagte-taping ako everyday tapos magno-noontime pa ako," he explained.

 Vice also added that if he do a television series, he will have no time to do several things which he enjoyed doing now such as shows abroad and concert tours.

"Kapag gumawa ako ng teleserye malilimitahan ang iba kong pwedeng gawin -- hindi na ako makakapagtour sa ibang bansa at hindi na ako makakapag-concert." 

Currently, Vice has two shows on TV, It's Showtime and the trending capital Gandang Gabi Vice. He is also shooting for This Guy's In Love With You Mare together with Toni Gonzaga and Luis Manzano. 

The said movie which is under the direction of Wenn Deramas will open in theaters this October, the same month of premiere as Vice's previous box office hits, Petrang Kabayo and the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin.

Vice will also do a movie with Kris Aquino tentatively titled Sisteraka for the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival. Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla will be in the cast.

Jhaypee Laganas is 'It's Showtime' First Ever Teen Millionaire

Fifteen-year old high school student Jhaypee Laganas became the first teen to bag the P1 million jackpot prize in ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime.” 

Jhaypee said he did not go to school on Friday (Aug 3) to try his luck in the Kapamilya program’s “Arte Mo” game, which looked for magicians for contestants. 

“This is the answer to my prayers. I would always tell the Lord that I was willing to wait for an opportunity so I can help my family get by,” said Jhaypee, who also teaches kids the Bible using magic. He also said he wants to use his total jackpot prize of P1,010,000 to pay for his sick grandfather’s medical bills and his and his brother’s schooling. 

The “Showtime Goodtime” segment is the jackpot round for the winner of the noontime show’s “Arte Mo” game. The contestant needs to get the “It’s” ball from a raffle barrel in order to advance to the next letter in the word “Showtime.” If the contestant advances to the letter E without getting two “X” balls, he wins the P1 million prize.

Daniel Padilla Tries Action in Movie 'Kuratong Baleleng'

Daniel Padilla is set to appear in an action film with a working title Kuratong Baleleng together with his uncle Robin Padilla and father Rommel Padilla. 

In the said action film, Daniel will be playing the role of the young Ongkoy Parojinog, the character of his uncle Robin. Daniel, whose nuances are reminiscent of Binoe was perfect for the role.

This is not the first time that Daniel will be playing a young Robin Padilla. In the upcoming teleserye Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw which will star Robin, Kris Aquino and Anne Curtis, Daniel will also play the young version of his uncle.

Daniel was very happy to be part of Kuratong Baleleng not only because it was a fulfillment of his long dream of doing action films. He was also excited because he will be working together with his elder brothers in the movie.

"Ang dream ko talaga magkaroon kami ng movie na puro Padilla at ito natutupad na. Sobrang masaya kasi kasama ko ang mga kuya ko. Enjoy lang kami. Basta kami ginagawa lang namin 'yung trabaho namin at pamilya kami, kaya masaya," told Daniel to ABS-CBN News.

Aside from this action flick, Daniel will also star in MMFF entry Sisteraka with his Princess and I leading lady Kathryn Bernardo. The said movie will be topbilled by Kris Aquino and Vice Ganda.
